Christmas 2010

We really did have a wonderful Christmas this year.
It was our first Christmas in our own house, so we started our own traditions as our little family.
Jackson was most excited about all of the wii stuff...
...and about "my very own ipod!". Our ipod Jackson, we all share it. "Oh, okay" :)
Another favorite the guitar that Santa gave him! He loves to rock out.
Grandma and Grandpa Stout gave Jackson a basketball hoop for his room. Very exciting!! He loves it.
Add in all of the other gifts we got and we were pretty spoiled this year.
We made a lot of memories this year and spent a lot of time with our families. (I don't know why I don't have more pictures of other things. I guess I was too caught up in the moments. ) I better work on that this year...catching moments when they happen.

Christmas Eve 2010

Christmas Eve 2010
Christmas Eve morning we went to a Bailey party. We ate breakfast, watched 'The Nativity', the kids hit open a pinata, and then we exchanged gifts. Jackson was so excited about his cool new game from his cousin Ali.
Later that day we went with the Stout family. A fun tradition of the Stout's is to open matching pajamas on Christmas Eve.
Here are the Girls. (minus Hil)
Here are the Boys (minus Sky)
We are so lucky to have two awesome families that like to spend time together. Which is great because I love spending time with family!!

Jackson's 3rd Birthday

I can't believe I have a THREE year old!!!
What a difference a year makes huh?! Jackson is such a big kid now. He is so smart. He has been reading for quite a while, so it only surprises me when he reads big words, or when he is sounding out words. I just keep thinking...he should not be able to do that?! Jackson's favorite food is...candy. Ha. We really have a hard time getting Jackson to eat real food, but he is getting better. His favorite 'real' food is chicken nuggets. Jackson's favorite color is officially green now. For a long time he would say whatever color popped into his head, but now he always says green. Jackson's favorite thing to do is play Wii! He would play it all day long if his mom would let him. He is also very good at navigating through Playhouse Disney and pbs kids on the computer. So since he is so smart, I am trying really hard to keep him as a well balanced kid. Even though he hates it when I tell him time is up on the computer or wii. Those are his two favorite things to do! Jackson is such a sweet boy. He comes up to me all the time and says in a sweet voice, "Mom, I just love you!" It really warms my heart! We can't imagine our lives without him.

Jackson had a birthday party two days before his birthday with family. We had lots of fun together.
Jackson got pretty spoiled this year! :)
He loved opening presents. We saw this face a lot throughout the night. So cute!
Grandma Bailey made Jackson a Basketball quilt for his bedroom. He was so excited he started rolling around on it and testing it out!
Jackson's birthday cake. Not my best ever I must say...but we were going with a knight theme, since he loved being one for Halloween.

Everyone had to try out the Moon Dough. I must say I love it! Way better than Play-dough!
(I have to warn you that it feels really weird at first, because you are expecting something wet.)

On Jackson's birthday we went to the Treehouse. He really loves it there. His favorite places are the music room and the knight room.
Jackson had so much fun. I also had fun...chasing him around!
Of all the things to do at Treehouse, Jackson still gets sucked into the computer. Ha.

Family Pictures 2010

Family pictures were so fun this year! Jackson was such a ham!

My whole family had their pictures taken.

It's been a while since we have had a picture of the 'original' Stout family.
Siblings!! Wow we have all changed. :)

Oakridge Skating Party

My parents neighborhood has an annual tradition of renting out the Gallivan Center Ice Rink once a year in December. It is so fun to go ice skating, and lots of people go. Jackson had a blast this year. Everyone else got worn out before he did!
We all took turns 'helping' Jackson around the rink. It was really a matter of carrying him while he moved his feet.
Jackson would get really fancy and creative when Jared and my dad were skating with him. He would just kinda flail his feet allover the place (as you can see).
We all stayed warm bundled up, eating doughnuts and drinking hot chocolate.
What a fun memory!

Ice Skating

Oakridge Ward Ice Skating Party 2010

It has become tradition in my parents ward to rent the Gallivan center for a neighborhood ice skating party. So fun! Jackson really loved it this year. Days after he was still 'skating' around in his socks.
What a memorable night!
